It's warming up - just in time for the Winter Meltdown

event to support Scouting.

 2nd Annual BSA fund raiser kicks off, April, 6th at the Elmira Country Club

Elmira, NY (March 19, 2019) – Five Rivers Council is excited to announce and support the Winter Meltdown event, to be held from 7-11 pm on April 6th, 2019 at the Elmira Country Club.  In its second year, the adult-only event will raise operating funds for the Council.  The event is open to the public and will bring together approximately 250 scouters and non-scouters alike in a festive, business casual atmosphere (leave your uniforms at home).  Advanced tickets are encouraged and are available online at https://www.wintermeltdown.com/ as well as at our main office and the Scout Shop at the Arnot Mall.

WHO:               Adults from the community, scouters and non-scouters alike.

WHAT:                    Winter Meltdown Activities include:

  • Socializing and fun with great people
  • Heavy hors d'oeuvres
  • Cash bar
  • Live music by the area's favorite party band Splash
    • Silent auction, including custom-made wine service sets by gaffers at the Corning Museum of Glass, 2 baskets with tickets to the races from Watkins Glen International, Neck/Key Chain Knife hand forged by Forged in Fire Judge J. Neilsen along with an autographed picture, autographed sports memorabilia, and more.

WHY:               Raise funds for Five Rivers Council, serving families in 10 counties across the Twin Tiers.
